A Unique Rescue Concept
We are the non-profit rescue arm of Denver’s cat café, Denver Cat Company. After getting vetted in the care of a foster family, our rescue cats stay in an enriching, interactive, cage-free environment at the cat café where they are socialized by the cat lovers of Denver before quickly finding a forever home.
Our cats come from rural and county shelters that face overpopulation of adult cats. We also take owner surrenders from local folk facing hard times who hesitate to take their beloved pets to a conventional shelter. With the help of an incredible network of fosters, our amazing vets, and the enriching exposure our rescues get at the cat café, we have a 98% success rate with adoption.
Five Ways to Lend a Paw
Sign up to foster. Foster families are the heart of our rescue operation. We have an incredible community of over a 100 foster families in the Denver Metro Area, but we always need more help!
Volunteer with us. Many aspects of our operation are entirely volunteer-dependent. We have many volunteer opportunities, including administrative and transport needs.
If you shop at King Soopers, make Denver Cat Rescue your charity of choice. Most Kroger shoppers do not take advantage of this program, but it is a very easy way to direct some funding our way!
Donate! We rely 100% on donations to fund our small operation which includes top-notch vet care, foster supplies, and shelter overhead. Small-dollar donations go a long way in our efficiently run organization.
